What is happening in the world today and why? Humanity is evolving its consciousness at individual and collective levels. Given these seemingly tumultuous times, as of this writing (January 2026), to make such a statement may sound like a strange thing to say. However, I suggest that if you are alive today and if you are reading these words, these are the very times for which you were born—to assist Humanity as it evolves its consciousness with your unique gifts, whatever they may be. That is, this period of our individual and collective human being-ness may be characterized as an unfolding period of weeding out and alignment with the essence of Humanity’s evolving consciousness. Many of the horrendous things that we may be witnessing and/or experiencing, for example, in our personal, societal, and/or global life spaces largely represent a misalignment with the essence of Humanity’s evolving consciousness (e.g., the shooting of Renee Good and Alex Pretti by ICE/Immigrant agents in Minneapolis in January 2026; the atrocities in Gaza; the Russia-Ukraine war). So, what does this really mean?
One aspect of Humanity’s evolving consciousness is to understand and to embrace one’s power as Conscious Creators who promote optimal realities for Humanity’s individual and collective growth on Earth and in relation to the cosmos. It is a shift to a higher order of consciously knowing one’s connection to Humanity’s Collective Consciousness and to All That Is. In part, this evolution of consciousness involves learning what some have called the “language of consciousness” (telepathy, the Mother tongue) and developing and nurturing various psychic abilities. I reference some of these psychic abilities in my awarding-winning book, Evolving The Human Race Game: A Spiritual and Soul-Centered Perspective (Ferguson, 2017) (e.g., spatial intuition; clairsentience; sensitivity to “vibes” from other people; authentic empathy; clairaudience; clairvoyance; telepathy; cosmic consciousness).
In the book and in other writings (Ferguson, 2024; 2023; 2021; 2016; 2012; 2010a; 2010b; 2010c; 2009a; 2009b; 2009c; 2008; 2007a; 2007b; 2005a. 2005b), I have discussed what I call Archetypal Energies. Archetypal Energies can be described as Higher Vibrational Energies that operate deep within our psyches at individual and collective levels, and they function to guide us toward our optimal selves and optimal realities. We tend to experience them as “creative urges.” Through extensive research, I have identified 25 of them, vibrating at particularly frequencies of Hz. I use easily recognized terms to evoke a common sense of what these Archetypal Energies are (e.g., Trust, Love, Acceptance, Inclusion, Harmony). I am suggesting here that one way to get in alignment with Humanity’s evolving consciousness is to access these Archetypal Energies within oneself and to allow them to flow more freely and naturally in one’s personal, societal, and/or global life spaces. Their natural flow, however, can get jammed or blocked and the energy can get distorted by ego-based fears. That is, fear tends to have the effect of shrinking consciousness at individual and collective levels. Love and Archetypal Energies, on the other hand, tend to have the effect of expanding consciousness at individual and collective levels.
To paraphrase and adapt what Einstein once said, we cannot change dehumanizing systems, societal woes and circumstances, and our various inhumane human dramas with the same kind of consciousness that created them. To reframe this notion in consciousness-energy terms, we as consciousness-energy vibrational beings are engaged in raising our vibrational frequencies at individual and collective levels to newer or higher states of being-ness. As we do so, more light energy comes into being or we vibrationally open or align to more light energy. As more light energy comes into being-ness, it reveals or makes more visible those dehumanizing systems, societal woes and circumstances, and inhumane dramas that are not in alignment with the emerging higher vibrational frequencies so that corrective, transformational attitudes and action can be consciously engaged.
An aspect of this work, then, is to have enlightened human beings positioned in a variety of human arenas to assist in transforming and uplifting the frequencies in these arenas—politically, economically, educationally, legally, corporately, multi-culturally, etc. I suggest that one of the ways that we can know such enlightened human beings is related to how they demonstrate an awareness of Archetypal Energies, not only in what they say but in what they do and how they do it. Martin Luther King, Jr. once called our attention to the “fierce urgency of Now.” I reiterate that call here as it relates to the role of Archetypal Energies to assist Humanity in evolving its consciousness at individual and collective levels. What is being called “nonviolent resistance” is part of the weeding out and alignment process, fueled by the creative urges of Archetypal Energies. To be clear, however, what one resists may persist when the resistance does not embrace and engage a different kind of consciousness.
The easiest way to access Archetypal Energies is simply to take a few deep breaths and just “think” of one of the Archetypal Energies before making decisions or acting. For example, if you desire to work on your personality structure during various human encounters in various arenas. simply “think” about one of what I call Foundational Archetypal Energies as a guide (Trust, Enthusiasm, Humor, Beauty, Hope, Flexibility, Courage) when engaging others. If you desire to work on changing systems and/or societal, cultural, or global norms, simply “think” about one of what I call Transformational Archetypal Energies as a guide (Love, Acceptance, Inclusion, Harmony) as you engage your work. If you desire to transcend ego-related fears and to integrate higher aspects of yourself, simply “think” of one of what I call Spiritually Integrative Archetypal Energies as a guide (Understanding, Truth, Wisdom, Patience, Inspiration, Abundance, Compassion, Peace, Joy, Clarity, Vision, Oneness, Unity, Serenity) as you engage this work.
As you do your work in various arenas, consciously hold your focus on your selected Archetypal Energy as a guide for the experience. You can also practice using Archetypal Energies by selecting and focusing on different ones as a guide for how you want to experience yourself for a day or week or for various human endeavors with which you engage (work-related or recreationally related). Opportunities will emerge for you to practice during these experiences.
This new, higher Collective Consciousness is not a dualistic consciousness. It encourages the art of using discernment to make decisions. It invites human beings to use what I have called their Wise Will and not their Forceful Will as Conscious Creators (Ferguson, 2007a). It recognizes that when someone, who has been given authority as a leader, plays “the blame game,” they are not accepting responsibility for the role they played in the co-created circumstance (Ferguson, 2009b). To a large extent, such leaders are actually talking about their own inadequacies, their own insecurities, their own ego-based fears as a leader, and their own feelings of being disconnected from Humanity’s evolving Collective Consciousness and All That Is. In this regard, they are showing us who they are.
Maya Angelou once famously said: “When someone shows you who they are, believe them the first time. People know themselves much better than you do. That’s why it’s important to stop expecting them to be something other than who they are.” Those political leaders, who currently are not in alignment with Humanity’s evolving Collective Consciousness, for example, are showing us what needs to be weeded out, including themselves (e.g., climate change deniers; a focus on materialistic greed and militarism; wanting to turn back the clock to an idealized past that never existed; exhibiting overt and covert racism via racial profiling tactics (Ferguson, 2021) and attacks on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI); attempts to erase or re-write history and the deleterious effects of all the “isms”; gaslighting and fear tactics to maintain the illusion of power and control). Through what I have called “the mirror effect” (Ferguson, 2009c; 2003; 2000), the weeding out process involves reflecting what does and does not work in terms of aligning with Humanity’s evolving Collective Consciousness.
As of this writing, a great deal of what is transpiring, therefore, at societal and global levels is mirroring what does not work for the evolution of Humanity’s Collective Consciousness. We are witnessing what happens when the ego is allowed to run amuck, when unchecked power and greed become the primary focus of consciousness, when human interactions and human systems are framed and carried out solely in transactional terms, when mechanistic thinking turns human beings into “objects” or “the dehumanized other,” when countries characterize other human beings as “internal and/or external enemies”, when autocratic leadership engage in tactics to suppress voting and free speech.
There are many individuals, groups, organizations, enterprises, and associations on the planet that are currently at work to assist Humanity in evolving its Collective Consciousness. The Association for Humanistic Psychology (AHP) is one of those associations. Indeed, AHP has partnered over the years with other organizations in service to Humanity’s evolving consciousness (e.g., Association for Transpersonal Psychology; Ubiquity University and its ongoing Humanity Rising Global Summit initiative; Medical Society Consortium on Climate & Health). Many are knowingly and unknowingly using Archetypal Energies as guides in their own unique ways. Some have argued that we are also getting assistance from multidimensional beings, spiritual guides from the other side of the veil, and even non-human intelligences. In December 2025, for example, a State of the World Forum was held on global online simulcast platforms, where many very gifted speakers discussed in their own way how Humanity is evolving its consciousness. The Forum was framed in terms of how four intelligences are currently at play to assist in the weeding out and alignment consciousness evolution process: Human Intelligence, Nature Intelligence, AI Intelligence, and Cosmic Intelligence. The Forum is also an ongoing, unfolding initiative in service to Humanity’s evolving consciousness. I want to suggest here that knowingly or unknowingly the “creative urges” behind this State of the World Forum were Archetypal Energies.
Humanity’s evolving consciousness is beckoning us to transform what I have called three primary human race games where we appear to be currently stuck. Each of these three human race games are ego-centered, fueled by fear and projections. The projections are all related to ego-centered fears: fear of differences (otherness), of intimacy (closeness), of the unknown (unfamiliar or new things), and of vulnerability (death or annihilation). Currently, such ego-centered fears and projections have caused Humanity’s Collective Consciousness to be focused on issues related to security, sensory feelings, and power. These ego-centered fears and projections generate, foster, and nurture policies, practices, human systems, and various societal, global, and cultural norms that ultimately do not serve Humanity’s well-being.
In the book that I previously mentioned, I discuss in detail the nature of what I have called the Security Human Race Game, the Sensory Human Race Game, and the Power Human Race Game. I also discuss in detail the role of Archetypal Energies in transforming these three human race games, and I suggest some tools that can be used to assist Humanity in evolving its Collective Consciousness to a higher order/frequency of consciousness and state of human being-ness. One of several visions that emerges for Humanity as a species and its evolving Collective Consciousness is evolving into what I have called a telepathic species. Some examples that are in alignment with this vision are Ky Dickens’ “The Telepathy Tapes”, Birdie Jaworki’s. “TransDimensional Mapping”, Veda Austin’s “Sacred Language of Water”, the use of sound therapy and the ongoing research on Solfeggio Frequencies. While admittedly scientific proof is currently not fully aligned with this vision, my belief is that it will soon be forthcoming.
Currently, what has been labeled “technological telepathy” (brain-to-brain interfaces) has been scientifically demonstrated, using non-invasive tools like EFG (Electric Field Gradient) to record and TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) to stimulate experiences, and neural synchronization (i.e., when two people focus on each other, their brainwaves can align, suggesting a potential–though not necessarily “telepathic”—connection). So, in whatever arena(s) you may find yourself or create, I encourage you to pay attention to the unfolding and ongoing weeding out and alignment process as Humanity evolves its Collective Consciousness at individual and collective levels. I encourage you to consciously use Archetypal Energies as guides to assist you in your various consciousness-evolutionary endeavors on the planet. In short, I encourage you to become and to be Conscious Creators who assist in the evolution of Humanity’s Collective Consciousness.
