THE 16TH INTERNATIONAL FORUM OF THE PERSON CENTERED APPROACH
Proposed by the Movimento della Rivoluzione Silenziosa (Movement of the Quiet Revolution), the XVI International Forum of the Person-Centered Approach will be held for the first time in Italy, at the Borgo di Tragliata, near Rome on November 8 – 13, 2022.
The PCA Forum is an international meeting which takes place every two years all over the world. People from all five continents gather together in the spirit of the Person Centered Approach. It is also a community of human relationships which offers each participant the time and the space necessary to experience person to person encounter more fully, to create new relationships and to invent new ways of being deeply in contact with oneself. WARM SPRINGS GATHERING
It’s uncertain whether this annual springtime gathering will be virtual or in person, but the gears are in motion to make it happen one way or another. Warm Springs Georgia in the USA abounds in history dating back to FDR, and has provided a chance every year to experience the depth and growth that can be brought about by a person-centered environment. This workshop is entitled “Understanding an Existential-Phenomenological Approach: From Worldview to Attitude and Methods.” Existential-phenomenological approaches continue to attract more and more mental health professionals from diverse orientations to enliven their work with this experiential way of understanding the human experience of their clients. An existential-phenomenological approach is an invitation to more deeply understand the experience of another from an inter-relational stance that not only values but admires the mystery of persons as well as existence itself.
