The International Society for the Science of Existential Psychology (issep.org) is calling for Annual Awards Nominations, described below, due Nov 15. Self-nominations permitted.
The science of existential psychology applies the research methods of contemporary psychological science to better understand the dynamics of being and becoming in social and mental life, including: time, aging, and death; freedom, authenticity, and moral responsibility; isolation, uncertainty, and shared reality; culture, the self, and identity; the quest for meaning and purpose in life; religion and spirituality; and awe, personal growth, and pursuit of the “good life.”
Distinguished Career Award
• For mid- and advanced-career professionals’ (10+ years post-PhD) contributions to the science of existential psychology.
• Award: $1,000, commemorative plaque, and recognition at conference.

Early Career Award
• For early-career professionals’ (within 10 years post-PhD) contributions to the science of existential psychology.
• Award: $1,000, commemorative plaque, and recognition at conference.

Outstanding Student Award
• For undergraduate and graduate activities, engagement, or contributions to the science of existential psychology.
• Award: $500, commemorative certificate, and recognition at conference.

Best Paper Award
• For excellence in advancing the research, communication, or application of the science of existential psychology.
• Award (each category): $500 and recognition at conference.
• Four standard best paper award categories (more info: issep.org/annual-awards#bp)
o GENERAL: Any existential psychology topic regardless of culture, location, or discipline.
o CROSS-CULTURAL: Uses a cross-cultural theoretical and methodological approach.
o INTERNATIONAL: By research teams based at institutions outside of North America.
o INTERDISCIPLINARY: Blends the theory and methods of existential psychology with those of other disciplines.
• One special best paper award category (more info: issep.org/ernest-becker-honors#EBBP)
o ERNEST BECKER: Expressly builds on the work and ideas of Becker in advancing the research, communication, or application of the science of existential psychology.
• A best paper award nomination may indicate relevance to more than one category.
The mission of ISSEP is to encourage and support the scientific discovery, communication, and application of key research findings in existential psychology.
